Medium: clay, bisque fired and painted with Tempera

Assignment: “Make a ceramic piece using the theme ‘Nature: Plant Life’”

This piece was me again exercising my knowledge of colour theory in choosing a variation on the complementary colours red and green with yellows and gold for highlights and blues as shadows.

It is designed after a lily.

This pose was chosen because the broad bottom aids in lowering the center of gravity, making it more stable.
