This owl took a lot of time

I like doing my research before projects like this and this drawing is no exception.

She is modelled after an Eostrix owl:

The feathers of her robe match those of the owl

The headpiece is used to invoke the feeling of a warrior chief, as does the stick she holds

I used texture continuously both because I love the monotonous but calming process of hatching and lineart and to draw attention to the least busy part of the picture: the face.

The eyes also emphasise the face
